There are a couple things you can do to make your trip to the Depot faster and more convenient.
First, take a minute to sort by size. All containers that are 1 litre or less are worth 10 cents, and all containers larger than 1 litre are worth 25 cents.
Second, if you have a bit more space, you can sort by material type. If you have a lot of containers of a specific type, such as aluminum cans, you can group them together. Similarly, if you have a lot of water or pop plastic containers, group these together.

The BCMB is responsible for the collection and recycling of beverage containers throughout Alberta. It operates within policy parameters set out by the Minister of Alberta Environment. The BCMB is a unique alliance of beverage manufacturers, depot operators, environmental organizations, municipalities, the public and the Alberta Government. The BCMB was incorporated under the Societies Act on October 9, 1997 and established as a management board under the Beverage Container Recycling Regulation pursuant to Section 175 of the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act on December 1, 1997.
